In a reference to the music group Young Kingz, of which Mike Towers is a founding member, he changed the first letter from the i into an y in the year 2017. Myke Towers, a Puerto Rican rapper who has been in the scene since he was an teen, released his very first compositions and freestyles via the SoundCloud page. The year 2014 saw him gain a lot of attention by releasing songs such as Dia de cobro Por Mi Es Normal and En los Bloques. In 2014, he gained notoriety for the La Nueva Droga freestyle and his interpretation of Drake's first track 0 to 100.
