Lucy Liu, an American voice actress producer director and singer, is also an outstanding actor. She is a beautiful and knowledgeable actress, she's an inspiration for numerous Asian actors who want to be successful in Hollywood. An array of highly successful initial performances in popular TV series led to her becoming popular for her role in the show in Ally McBeal, where she appeared as Ling Woo. Her new-found fame was translated into roles for the big screen in Shanghai Noon, Charlie's Angels as well as other movies. Then, she gave an her best acting performance on Quentin Tarantino Kill Bill Volume 1 as Japanese crime lord O Ren Ishii. In the same time frame, she played the lead in some failures at the box office including Rise: Blood Hunter. For animated films such as Kung Fu Panda, Tinker Bell and others she voiced prominent characters. Mia Mason, in Cashmere Mafia and other small-screen parts, did not achieve much success. Southland's critically acclaimed police series, Southland and a recurring performance helped Liu to reestablish herself the status of an established actor.
