Kelly Clarkson

KellyKelly Clarkson (in full Kelly Brianne Clarkson) was born 24 April 1982 in Fort Worth, Texas. She is an American musician, singer, and a TV star. As of 2002, she took home her first American Idol talent contest. Clarkson was raised in Burleson (Texas) located in one of the suburbs near Fort Worth. Her vocal talent was recognized at seven years of age by the teacher who taught choir at her school. After graduating from high school, Clarkson moved in Los Angeles, where she attempted unsuccessfully to get into show business. Following her return to Texas Clarkson was participant on the initial season of the FOX Broadcasting Co's American Idol, a singing contest that let viewers vote for their favourite performer. Clarkson was well-liked by viewers because of her infectious voice and wit. Her prize was $1million and a recording deal with RCA.
